ABILENE, TX — Abraham Enriquez, a trusted ally of President Trump and one of the most influential young conservative leaders to come out of West Texas, will launch his campaign for Congress in Abilene tomorrow with the support of two highly respected community figures: Hon. Anthony Williams, former Mayor of Abilene, and Hon. Gary McCaleb, former Mayor of Abilene.
The endorsements mark a major show of confidence from two men whose leadership helped shape the city Abraham calls home. They follow the support of Lubbock leaders — Mayor Mark McBrayer and former Mayor Marc McDougal — underscoring the growing consensus across West Texas behind Abraham’s campaign.
“Abilene changed my life,” Enriquez said. “It is where I studied and where I found my vocation. To have the support of two local leaders is an honor. It tells me that the message we are taking to voters is resonating. Faith. Family. Freedom. The future of West Texas. That is what this campaign is about.”
Abraham credits Abilene as the place where he first felt called to public service and where his family’s American story continued to take root.
“This community welcomed my grandparents when they came to this country with almost nothing but faith and determination,” Enriquez said. “It gave my family opportunity. It gave us a church and a home. It gave us hope. I am running for Congress to protect that same American Dream for every family across West Texas.”
Enriquez has served as a national surrogate for President Trump, played key roles in advancing conservative policy priorities, and founded Bienvenido, one of the most influential conservative outreach organizations in the nation. His campaign centers on restoring the America First agenda, strengthening West Texas families, defending religious liberty, and protecting the values that built the region.
“We are launching this movement in Abilene because West Texas leads,” Enriquez said. “This is a place where faith is real, families are strong, and the American Dream is still alive. With God’s help and with the support of the people of this district, we will carry that spirit into Washington.”
Abraham Enriquez will officially kick off his Abilene campaign on Wednesday, December 3, at 6:00 PM at the 201 Mesquite Event Center. All supporters and community members are invited to attend.
