LUBBOCK, TX — Trump ally and congressional candidate Abraham Enriquez announced today that Venessa Wood, a respected Christian leader and 4th-generation farmer, is joining his campaign as a Senior Advisor.
Wood is the Founder & CEO of Ag Women Connect, a national organization empowering women in agriculture through networking, education, and advocacy. She also hosts the popular podcast “Ag Talk: Your Story Matters” on Rural Radio XM 147, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify, where she highlights the stories and challenges of rural America.
She later expanded her mission by launching the Ag Women Connect Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that provides scholarships, disaster relief, and support for farm and ranch families. A longtime Farm Manager at Ramsower Land and Cattle and a seasoned keynote speaker, Wood has been featured on RFD-TV, the Cowgirl Channel, and major agricultural conferences. She has also chaired major conservative events in West Texas, including the Lubbock Area Republican Women’s Pink Elephant Gala.
“I’m honored to welcome Venessa to our team,” Enriquez said. “Her deep roots, her commitment to rural families, and her leadership in the agricultural community make her an incredible asset. She understands what’s at stake for our farmers and ranchers, and she shares my commitment to strengthening West Texas and advancing President Trump’s America First agenda.”
Venessa Wood will advise the campaign on rural outreach, agricultural policy, and community engagement.
